Bernadette was born on 18 July 1889 in Natick, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA. I have verified the birth record in the Warwick, RI town clerks office. However, her name in the record is Mary Ann Broche which is not unusual in the US when you had english speaking clerks dealing with french speaking parents. In any case, I am sure that my grandmother was born in RI and not in Armagh, Canada. She moved to Armagh when she was about 14 years old and married my grandfather, Eugene in 1917 as it states.
