The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at the age of 96 years. Husband of the late Aline (née Bonin) Gratton. Son of the late Polydore and of the late Aldéa (née Rouleau) Gratton. Loving father of Adèle Brunelle (Reese) of Whitby and André (François Trudel) of Toronto. Dear brother of Thérèse Gratton of Sudbury. Predeceased by his sister Bertha Dubery (late Arthur). Sadly missed by his special niece Carole Jones (Keith) and lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Aurèle volunteered at Laurentian Hospital for over 20 years, at Paroisse St-Eugène which he supported for most of his life and received the RBC Volunteer of the year award. Aurele enjoyed a full 36 years of retired life travelling all over North America in his wonderful motor home with his wife Aline by his side, Aurele also had a full and great career with the Brewers Retail Company here in Sudbury. His work career spanned 44 years with this organization. A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 13th, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Lasalle R.C. Cemetery, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
