Name is "Jean" at Baptism, but "Jean-Baptiste" at marriage and death.

Only three children of Anne PREVOST and her 2nd husband, Jacques PILET, are recorded in the Boucherville parish registers (FamilySearch/Drouin):
Jacques (1703-1765),
Jean-Baptiste (1708-1762),
Joseph (1711-?).

The two oldest brothers moved to Détroit in the mid-1730s; Jacques already had a large family while Jean-Baptiste married there later--where his wife died young and he a smaller family. This, together with inconsistent records of the brothers' ages, causes them to be confused for each other.
