Adrienne (Levesque) Berube, 92, of Manchester, beloved wife of 57 years and best friend of Fernand Berube, passed peacefully just as the sun began to rise on Sunday (October 3, 2010) at St. Mary Home in West Hartford.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph “Grand Jos” and Eugenie Levesque.
Prior to moving to Manchester she was a long time resident of West Hartford.
Beside her husband she is survived by her daughter Diane Purcell of Manchester and Diane’s husband John who are the parents of Adrienne’s beloved granddaughter Ashleigh who she lives on through.
Adrienne was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters of whom she was the second youngest. She also leaves many nieces and nephews who have always deeply loved and cared for their aunt.
The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Mary Home, especially Anna and Faith, Manchester Fire and Rescue, and The Connecticut Hospice and especially our cherished friend and hospice volunteer, Lissa Robinovitz, for helping Adrienne pass peacefully from this world into the next.
Family and friends may gather, Friday at 9 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester. Entombment will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends, Thursday from 5-8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home.
