He was born in Lublin, Poland and immigrated to Canada with his parents and sister at age 5. They settled in Montreal where he graduated from the Montreal Institute of Technology with a mechanical engineering degree. He played violin in the Polish Montreal Symphony, as well as the mandolin, and piano. He worked for Orm and Key in Hamilton, and later General Electric in Peterborough where he met the love of his life. He was active in his church on the parish council, and the Knights of Columbus and gave many hours of his time helping others

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 from 9-10am at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am on Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church
