Adelard J. Bergeron
Southbridge - Adelard J. Bergeron, 70, of 460 Hamilton Street, died this morning at U-Mass Hospital, Worcester after a long illness.
He leaves his wife Irene (Spenard) Bergeron; two daughters, Germaine Renaud and Rachel (Mrs. Rene) Fournier of Southbridge; two brothers, Willie and Maurice Bergeron of North Grosvenordale, Conn.; three sisters, Gilberte Belanger of Webster, Cecile Murteza of North Grosvenordale, Conn., and Merilda Bergeron of Ste. Julie, Quebec, Canada, and eight grandchildren.
He was born in Ste. Julie, Quebec, Canada, the son of Napoleon and Marie Louise (Bergeron) Bergeron.
He was a retired employee of Hyde Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1974 after 19 years of service.
The funeral will be held at 10a.m. Monday from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, followed by a mass at 11a.m. at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in New Notre Dame Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, UMass Hospital, or toward Mass Offerings.
