Southbridge, on January 23, 1945 Mrs. Dolores Spinard, 159 Worcester Street, has received a telegram from the War Department stating that her husband, Pvt. Girard N. Spinard, was killed in Germany on January 6, 1945. He was previously reported seriously wounded on December 20, 1944.
He entered the service in May 26, 1944, and had been overseas for two months. He was employed at the Globe Tool and Die, Company before entering the service. Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Richard, 16 months, and his parents, Mr and Mrs. Alphonse Spinard of 31 High Street, Southbridge.
