Date of Intention County/City of Midland I Jules Lalone solemnly swear that it is Bonafide my Intention to become a citizen of these United States & to renounce forever all allegiance to Victoria Queen of Great Britian of whom I have been subject. Sworn to & subscribes before me at Midland. This the 28th day January A.D. 1896

Naturalization: State of Michigan In the Circuit Court for said county. County of Midland At a general term of the Circuit Court of the county of Midland & the state of Michigan continued & held at the court house; In the City of Midland in said County, on Monday the 27th day of January A.D. 1896. Present- Honorable Judge Dodds, Circuit Judge.
In the matter of Jules Lalone an alien, to be admitted a citizen of the United States.
Jules Lalone of Mt. Haley County, of Midland, MI. a native of Great Britain, having made application to this court to be admitted a citizen of the United States and it appearing to the said court that he has become a resident of the state of Michigan at age 17 years, and has been a continual resident of the United States since said time; that it was his Bonafide intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance & fidelity to any foriegn Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty & Particularly the Queen of Great Britain, of whom he was a subject; and the said Jules Lalone having also made due proof, to the satisfaction of the court, that he has resided within the United States for the continual term of 5 yrs, with the State of Michigan 1 yr. and upwards & during that time he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principle of the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order & happiness of the same; and that the said Jules Lalone has never borne any hereditary title, nor has been of any of the orders of nobilty in the Kingdom or State from which he came; and the said Jules Lalone, have solemnly declared, on his oath, in open court, that he would support the constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely & entirely renounce & abjure all allegiance & fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty and particularly Victoria the Queen of Great Britain of whom he was then a subject.
Therefore it is ordered & adjudged, by the court now here that the said Jules Lalone be & he is here by admitted a citizen of the United States.
