LYDIA MARIE JODOIN BURLINGTON — Lydia Marie Jodoin, 98, formerly of 28 Central Ave., Lakeside, Burlington, died at Starr Farm Nursing Center on February 15, 2001. She was born in Ste Cyrille, Quebec, Canada on July 3, 1902, daughter of Adjutor and Eveline (Vigneault) Courtois.

Lydia was a longtime member of St. Anthony Parish. She was the widow of Hector Jodoin, who predeceased her in 1970. Lydia is survived by her children and their spouses; Fernand and Joyce Jodoin of Bradenton, FL; Rita Mongeon of Winooski; Theresa Lapointe of North Adams, MA; Madeleine and Paul Letourneau of Colchester, Sr. Lilliane Jodoin, Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Methuen, MA; George and Joyce Jodoin of Burlington/Cape Coral, FL; Richard and Karin Jodoin of Milton; Paul and Mary Jodoin of Burlington; Laurette Corbin of Burlington; and Laurent (Larry) Jodoin of Barstow, CA; two sisters, Lucille Courtois of Drummondville, Quebec and Elaine Briand of Arlington, MA; two sisters-in-law, Laurette Jodoin of Burlington, and Alice Patenaude of Pittsfield, MA. Lydia is also survived by her 45 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, neighbors and relatives in the Lakeside section of Burlington, where she lived for over 40 years. She was predeceased by her daughter, Louise Wheel Trombley in 1982; two sisters, Emilia Balis and Alice Courtois; her sons-in-law, Henry Lapointe, Cal Mongeon, and John Corbin, and her grandsons, Keith and Bobby Jodoin.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Starr Farm Nursing Center, Mansfield Unit, for their dedication and care during Lydia's stay there.

Friends may call at the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Avenue today from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2001 at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
