MRS DOMINIC CARDINAL
 A respected resident of Alexandria for the past sixty years, Mrs. Dominic Cardinal died at the home of her son Alfred Cardinal, Catherine St. West, Saturday, January 17th Though in her 84th year, Mrs. Cardinal had been in good health until but twelve days prior to her passing when she was confined to bed. A wide family connection and many friends learned with regret of her passing.   The late Mrs. Cardinal was born, Sarah Picard, daughter of Louis Picard and his wife, Mary Ouellette, at L'Orignal. The family later resided in the Glen Nevis area where, 66 years ago, she married the late Mr. Cardinal in St. Margaret's Church. Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal resided at St. Justine for a few years before coming to Alexandria where his death occurred ten years ago.  She leaves to mourn her passing: one son, Alfred of Alexandria, and five daughters; Mrs. Arsene Carriere and Mrs. John Kennedy of Cornwall; Mrs. Hugh Brown of St. polycarpe, Que.; Mrs. Andrew Bellefeuille, 3rd Kenyon and Mrs. H.R. Howard of Toronto. One brother and one sister also survive; Mr. Gabriel Picard of Tupper Lake, N.Y., and Mrs. Frank Millar of Alexandria. The funeral attended by many relatives and friends, was held Monday morning from the home of her son Alfred, to Sacred heart Church, where Rt. Rev. Msgr. Emile Secours, chanted the Mass of Requiem. The body was placed in the vault St. Finnan's cemetery, to await burial in the spring. The pallbearers were: Amedee Marcoux, Emerie Poirier and four nephews Euclide Bellefeuille, Roland Lavigne, Emile and Phillip Lauzon.   In addition to a large number of Mass cards and messages of sympathy received floral pieces were; pillow, the family; sprays; Fred, Lila and Allan Howard, George, Pat and Georgie Howard.   Relatives and friendspresent from a distance in cluded Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Howard, Toronto; Mrs. Hugh Brown, St. Polycarpe; Albert Brown, Valleyfield; Emile Lauzon, Phillip Lauzon, Mrs. Anna Saucier, William Massia, Montreal; Mr. and Mrs. Arsene Carriere, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
