Biographie Gelinas Carmel

Carmel L. Couture, 94, died Thursday, (December 30, 2004) at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born December 12, 1910 in Livermore Falls, ME, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Fortier Gelinas.

She was a member of New Harvest Church. She and her husband owned and operated Del's Cleaning Service in Collinsville.

She was predeceased by her husband, Odelpha ''Del'' Couture and a brother, Roland Gelinas. Survivors include, a daughter, Joyce Owens and her husband, Gary of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Lucienne Dame and Edwina Moulton, both of Farmington; a nephew, Edward Gelinas of Montreal, Canada; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday at New Harvest Church with Pastor A.J. Baisch officiating. Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. The family will hold a memorial service in Collinsville, in the spring at this time she will be placed beside her husband in Calvary Cemetery.
