GIBBONS, Carl C. (A life shared, a love lost) Passed away Wednesday evening, January 6th, 2010 at St-Joseph?s Health Care Centre, Sudbury, at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Austin and of the late Josephine Gibbons. Beloved husband of Eileen Gibbons (née Bell). Loving father of John (late Claire) (Sue) of Chelmsford, Dean (Colette) of San Diego, Greg (Sue) of Ottawa, Darin (Angie) of Oshawa, Darlene Wells (Rick) of Kirkland Lake and Coleen Poulin (Rick) of Bowmanville. Dear brother of Viola (Mike), Noreen (Bernie), Marie (Frank) and Josephine (Don). Predeceased by his sister Marcella Dumas (Richard) and his brothers Wilfred (Byrle), Tommy (Freda), Edward (Joy), Harold (Mary), Ray (Noreen) and Galvin (Theresa). Cherished grandfather of Cling (Tami), Chad, Natalie, Jesse, Andrew, Erica, Robyn, Carleen, Brett, Kolby, Serena, Kym (Alain), Kaelen, Damien, Craig (Roxanne) and Haven. Friend and uncle to many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in Bristol Quebec, he came to Sudbury in 1954. He was employed by Inco for 32 years, retiring in 1991. Carl will be remembered for his love of old cars and for having coached hockey and baseball in his younger years. He will forever be remembered for the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R R 15, CHELMSFORD, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. Alexander Church, Chelmsford followed by a reception at Crazy Horse.
