"He was the youngest son of Odessa Pierre and Lela Mollaur and during World War Il served 3 1/2 years with the Royal Canadian Hussars.
On his discharge from the army he took up barbering and worked in his father's store in the now-demolished old stone building which was on the corner in Hemmingford opposite the bank."
