The Social Security Applications & Claims Index lists John Mathew Pimperal's parents as Mathew Pimperal & Della Sand.

John Pimperal was a member of B Company, 192nd Tank Battalion and lived through the Japanese attack on Clark Airfield. He fought in the Philippine Islands from December 22, 1941 to April 9, 1942. He took part in the Bataan Death March and was held At Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan before he was sent to Japan. In Japan, he was held at Tokyo #3-B until he was liberated.

John Mathew Pimperal Jr & Frances Christina Hanlon were married on March 12, 1951 in Haverhill, New Hampshire.
