Biographie Doyon Laura
Laura (Drapeau) Magada, 92, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at the Rochester Manor, after a long period of failing health.
Mrs. Magada was born in South Berwick, Maine, on April 19, 1919, the daughter of, Placid and Phelanese (St. Pierre) Doyon and had been living in Rochester since 1983, moving from Barrington.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Drapeau, who died in 1973 and by her second husband, Audrez Magada, who died in 2000. She was a devout catholic, a member of the Butterfly Ladies, the Red Hat Society and enjoyed knitting, needle point, camping and especially her grand and great-grandchildren.
Surviving members of the family include, two sons, Kenneth Drapeau, and his wife, Raylene, of Milton and Ronald Drapeau, and his wife, Lena, of Citrus Heights, Calif; five grandchildren, Veronica, Steven, Christine, Heidi, and Roxanne; ten great-grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail, Robert, Elle, Audrey, Brandon, Morgan, Logan, Hannah, and Sarah. She also leaves a special niece, Helen Peckham, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, followed with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Dover.
