Obituary of Viola Sullivan
(Founder of Sullivan Shoe Store) With great sadness we announce that our matriarch passed away peacefully at the Bonnechere Manor on Sunday evening, January 17, 2021. Viola was married to and raised her family with Owen Sullivan until his death in 1961, and shared almost 20 years of friendship and marriage with the late Harry Powell (2014). Treasured mom of Don (Sheila), Bernie (Bernice) and Ken (Nancy, late Darlene). Loved grandma of Stephanie (Eric), Noreen, Sean, Jennifer, Kim (Shawn) and Kathleen (Sam) and will be missed by her 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her granddaughter Jessica (2016). Also predeceased by her brothers: Murt Fahey (late Florence) and Hilliard Fahey as well as her sisters: Theresa Maloney (late Hillary) and Eva Cavanagh (late Terrence). Daughter of the late Richard and Theresa (nee Daley) Fahey. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Viola was the founder of Sullivan Shoes in Arnprior, and was always active in the community. She was a two-time President of the CWL and a long-time member, President of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, President of the Girl Guides, long-time member of the St. John Chrysostom Parish Council and an avid gardener. Viola’s final care and arrangements were entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where a private visitation took place. Extended family and friends were invited to join us for a live webcast funeral service on Friday, January 22nd at 1pm.
