DUBEAU ARMENA FARIBAULT DAILY NEWS 01/APR/1920 MRS. MAXIM DUBEAU DIED THIS MORNING, APRIL 1, AFTER AN ILLNESS OF ONLY A FEW HOURS FOLLOWING HEART TROUBLE.
ARMENA DUFFNEY WAS BORN IN CANADA MAY 14, 1835. SHE GREW TO WOMANHOOD THERE AND ABOUT 45 YEARS AGO WAS MARRIED TO MAXIM DUBEAU WHO SURVIVES HER. AFTER THE FIRST CHILD WAS BORN, THEY MOVED TO FARIBAULT WHERE THEY SETTLED ON A FARM EAST OF FARIBAULT. FROM HERE THEY WENT TO NORTH DAKOTA AND THEN TO ALBERTA, CANADA. ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO THEY CAME BACK TO FARIBAULT WHERE THEY HAVE SINCE RESIDED. TO THEIR MARRIAGE TEN CHILDREN WERE BORN, SIX OF WHOM SURVIVE HER. THEY ARE, MAX DUBEAU, JR., OF THIS CITY, MRS. THEODORE KOPS OF CANADA, MRS. GEORGE DURAND OF BEMIDJI, MINN., ADAM AND GEORGE DUBEAU OF CANADA, AND MRS. JAMES McGLYNN OF GREAT FALLS, MONT. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY TWO SISTERS, MRS. JOE BOLDIS OF ST. PAUL AND MRS. LeBLANC OF BISMARK, N. D. AND TWO BROTHERS, MERRILL AND DIRRICK DUFFNEY. MRS. DUBEAU WAS A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF THE SACRED HEART CHURCH.
