Mrs. Phoebe Mayotte Dies Following Long Illness
Mrs. Phoebe (Bernard) Mayotte, 83, widow of Frank X. Mayotte, died last night at 8:45 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John J Doherty of 6 Howland avenue, following a long illness.
Born in Canada she came to Adams with her parents at the age of six months and resided here for 82 1/2 years. Her husband died in 1945. She was a member of Notre Dame church.
Besides Mrs. Doherty she leaves another daughter, Mrs. Henry Levesque of Adams, two sons, Adelard Mayotte of North Adams and Albert Mayotte of Adams, a sister, Mrs. Archimese Bernard of North Adams, 10 grandchildren, on of whom is Rev. Sylvio Levesque, curate of St. George's church, Chicopee, and seven great grandchildren.
The body is at the Trottier Funeral home, where calling hours will be from 7 to 11 o'clock evenings starting this evening, also from 2 to 5 o'clock afternoons. Funeral arrangement are incomplete but burial will be in Bellevue cemetery.
