Jeanne Y. Blais
Jeanne Y. Blais, age 94, of Fall River Ma., passed away Monday, August 03, 2009 in the South-pointe Rehab and Skilled Care Center. She was wife of the late Charles J. Blais.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Evariste and Alphonsine (Roy) Berube of Canada. Mrs. Blais worked in the garment industry as a zipper setter at various companies in the Fall River area.
Mrs. Blais had a love for baking and enjoyed to crochet. She especially had a place in her heart for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blais was the mother of Raymond Blais and Jacqueline Caron both of California, Muriel Baptista of Westport; sister of, Leo Berube and Anita St. Laurent of Fall River; grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of twenty-two, great-great-grandmother of nine. She was also the sister of the late Normand Berube, Theresa Medeiros and Bertha Martel.
Mrs. Blais’s funeral will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 9:00 AM from the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Anne’s Church, South Main St., Fall River. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Fall River. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
