Biography Stone Laurence-Raymond
Lawrence R. Stone died in his sleep Friday afternoon, October 15, 1965, at his home on North Sable street, Keeseville, New York, from the effects of a lung illness with which he had been ill several years.
Mr. Stone, a painter by trade, had been employed for some years at the Variety Paper Mills, Plattsburgh, New York, until his retirement two years ago due to illness.
Lawrence Raymond Stone was born August 20, 1898, the son of Fred and Melissa Stone and had lived in Keeseville since 1947.
He was united in marriage with Miss Gladys Alice LeClair of Keeseville, who survived him as did a son, James Rodney Stone, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Suhalla and Mary Anne Stone, both of Albany, New York; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Peter Marshall and a brother, William Stone, both of Keeseville.
The body rested at the McDonough Funeral Home until the funeral services, which were held at nine o'clock Monday morning, October 18, 1965, at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville, with the Rev. James Lamitie officiating.
Interment was in St. John's Cemetery. Bearers were John Connell, John Maloney, Arthur Twa, John Ryan, William LeClair and Vernon LeClair.
