Biographie Boucher Jeannette

BERUBE, Jeannette (Boucher) Jeannette (Boucher) Berube, 95, wife of the late Napoleon J. Berube died on Friday, (September 1, 2006) at McLean Home in Simsbury. Born in Inverness, Canada on February 20, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Gagne) Boucher. Jeannette was a longtime resident of Hartford moving to Wethersfield in her later years. While in Hartford, she attended St. Ann's Church where she was a member of the St. Ann's Woman's Society and Le Cercle des Dames Ferancaise of which she was a past president. She had also been a member of the French Scholarship League, the West Hartford Music and Arts Club and the Barry Square Senior Center. Jeannette's greatest joys were her family and her many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor which was appreciated by all who knew her. Jeannette was a gourmet cook, did beautiful needle work, played a good game of bridge and traveled extensively outside of the country. She will be deeply missed by all. Jeannette leaves a son, Ronald R. Berube and his wife, Margaret of Guilford and their children, Dr. Robert Berube, Ellen Cocco, Lisa McMinn, Paula Conway and Michael Berube. Jeannette also leaves her daughter, Patricia B. Cowles of Simsbury and her children, Theodore Cowles, Thomas Cowles and Laurie McElroy. She also leaves her 15 great grandchildren; her sisters, Lorraine Orefice of Niantic, Candide Rozman of Pennsylvania, Norma Griffing of Windsor, Yolanda Jones of New York, and Gloria Manter of Southington; and sister-in-law, Vivian Boucher of Windsor. Jeannette was predeceased by her son-in-law, Roger W. Cowles; her dear friend, Herve Belanger; her brothers, Ferdnand, Roger, Wildy and Lucien Boucher; and sisters, Lorrette Couture, Anntoinette Couture and Noella Testagrassa. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to McLean's caring staff for the kindness and excellent care given to their mother/grandmother. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 11 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Church St., in the Tariffville section of Simsbury. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial donations in Jeannette's memory may be made to the McLean Adult Day Care Center, 75 Great Pond Rd., Simsbury, CT 06070. Hayes-Huling and Carmon Funeral Home, Granby has care of the arrangements.
