BIOGRAPHY

Romeo J. Tallard, age 97, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died on Wednesday July 7th, 2010 at Wingate of Lowell. He was the husband of the late Aurelie "Ethel" (Beaulieu)(Desharnais) Tallard.
He was born in Lowell on January 24th, 1913, son of the late Lucien & Marie Louise (Racine) Tallard. 
He served in the US Army during WWII
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Stevens Manufacturing as a textile worker for many years.
He was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell for many years. Recently he attended St. Joseph the Worker Shrine downtown.
He is survived by his step-daughter and her husband, Claire and James Tricco of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Tricco and his wife Lisa of Arizona, Leslie Dewey and her husband James of Pennsylvania, Wendy Smith and her husband Roger of Pennsylvania; seven great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Erica, Ryan and Jonathan Tricco, Kylie Dewey, Kelsie and Haley Smith; also two great-great-grandchildren, Lucy and Cy Tricco.
He was also father of the late Alfred A. Desharnais; and brother of the late Wilfred and Anita Tallard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting Hours and Service will be held at the M.R. Laurin & Son Funeral Home, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Saturday July 10, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Prayer will take place in the funeral home at 1:00 PM, Fr. Lucien Sawyer presiding. Interment to take place at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence on Monday at 11:00 AM.
