Mrs. Emma Bedore, Dies at Son's Home
In Faust Yesterday
Mrs. Emma Bedore, one of the early residents of the Tupper sector, died Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her son, Duffy Bedore, at 83 Washington street.
Mrs. Bedore had been active despite her advanced age, and was ill only a day before her death.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for Friday morning at 9 o'clock at Holy Name Church. Burial will be in Faust Holy Name cemetery.
She was born on January 1, 1858, at St Augustine. Que., the daughter of Joseph and Rose Doe, and was married there about 65 years ago to Joseph Bedore. Fifty four years ago, after a year's residence at St. Regis Falls, they moved to Tupper Lake, among the pioneer settlers of this village. A few years later they settled at Piercefleld, where Mr. Bedore worked nearly 20 years at the International Paper Co. mill.
Since his death, 20 years ago, Mrs. Bedore had resided at the home of her son, Duffy, in Faust
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. George (Delina) Provo. Newton Falls, N. Y.; Mrs. Fred (Clara) Little, Malone; Mrs. Paul (Georgia) MacDonald, Montreal, and Mrs Charles (Delia) Ashey, Faust; two sons, Romeo and Duffy Bedore, both of Faust; also 35 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
