Mrs. Cecile Leger Shediac, May 14 -
The death occurred Saturday night, May 11, at Grand Digue of Mrs. Cecile Leger, widow of Phillip Leger, Mrs. Leger was a highly esteemed and life-long resident of that place. She was formerly Miss Cecile Gallant and was aged 94 years and nine months. Her husband passed away 20 years ago. Surviving are five sons, Simon, Peter, Pacifique, Oliver and John, and two daughters, (Margaret), Mrs. Joseph Bourque, of Grand Digue, and (Marie), Mrs. Frank Calssie, also of that village. The Funeral took place this morning to the Church of the Visitation, Grand Digue, the pastor, Rt. Rev. Mgr. Philip L. Belliveau, singing a high mass of requiem. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
