Mrs. F. Caissie Cocagne (Special) -
The death of Mrs. Marie Caissie, widow of Francois Caissie, of Cocagne Cape, occurred in Providence Home, Shediac, Thursday following a brief illness. She was 94. She was born at Cocagne Cape; a daughter of the late Philip and Cecille (Gallant) Leger. She last worked in 1960 and attended the Grand Digue Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Anne's Society. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Fred Goguen (Adele), Cocagne Cape; Mrs. Pat Pellerin (Aldea) Notre Dame; Mrs. Maxime Richard (Dora) Moncton; Mrs. Alphee Belliveau (Elisabeth), Dorchester Crossing; and Charles Gautreau, Shediac; two sons, Harvey Caissie, Grand Digue, and Horace Caissie, Moncton; a brother, Pacifique Leger, New York; 57 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. The body will rest from this afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Goguen, Cocagne Cape. The funeral will be held in the Grand Digue Roman Catholic Church at a time to be announced. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
