Mr. Lawrence Lagrue.
It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the death of Mr. Lawrence Lagrue, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lagrue, Glen Roy, which occurred at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, January 5th, 1916, following a train wreck on the C.P.R. west of Moose Jaw, the unfortunate young man being employed as fireman on a passenger train. The deceased, who was but 23 years of age, went West four years ago. Besides his parents he is survived by four brothers, William of Montreal, Arthur of Coteau, Joseph of Big Valley, Alta., and Phillip, a patient in St. Paul’s Hospital, Montreal. The remains were brought to his father's home here on Wednesday the 12th inst. being accompanied by his brother Joseph of Big Valley, and the funeral took place on Thursday 13th inst., to St-Raphaels church and cemetery, Rev. E. J. MacDonald officiating. The pallbearers were his three brothers, William, Arthur and Joseph Lagrue, Arthur Merchant, Montreal, H. Valade, St. Raphaels, and Joseph Vaillancourt, Green Valley. The bereaved family have the warm sympathy of the community in their sore affliction.
