Information, Other Kids, Notes, etc.
Connu sous le nom de soeur Theresita. Elle était une religieuse. Sa mère Emma est décédé suite à sa naissance.
Mary Catherine was born into the the Legroulx family of Jerry and Emma. Unfortunately, her mother died when she was only two weeks of age. Prior to her death, her mother had made arrangements for her infant to be raised by Mr and Mrs McRae. It was her Mother's dying wish that Mary Catherine would not be told of her adoption since she believed this would make the adoption easier for Mary Catherine's new family.
The McRae's had two other children Rev. Corbet McRae (died March 31, 1940) and Mother M. Alexander, OSU, the former Flora Mary McRae, who also entered the Ursuline Novitiate from St. Raphael's on July 3l, 1915. She died in Windsor Oct. 27, 1965.
Mary Catherine Legroulx became Sister M. Theresita after entering the Ursuline Novitiate convent 15 Aug 1916. It was at that time that her true parent were revealed. She took her temporary vows, 30 Dec 1919 and later her perpetual vows on 29 Dec 1922. She died 16 Jul 1971 at the HotelDieu, Windsor. Survived by sisters Mrs. Eva Gareau of Maxville, Ontario, Mrs. Donna Currier of Dalhousie Mills, Que.; nephews Raymond Legroulx, Real Legroulx both of Chatham.
