Information, autres enfants, notes, etc.
In the 1871 census, she is Bridget, presbyterian, 1 year old. After her mother's remarriage with Michael Maloney in 1875, she appears as Mary, catholic. She's buried in the Maloney family lot in the catholic Mont-Marie cemetary, in Lévis, prov. of Quebec. Family oral tradition believes she was adopted by her stepfather and did convert to the catholic religion, changing her first name accordingly, but keeping her biological father's family name. There was at least 3 other similar cases of such informal adoptions of foster children or wards in subsequent generations of the Maloney family.
