Rev Gerard C Doyon, 64, of Mount St Joseph Priest Retirement Home, High Wood Street, died of accidental drowning Thursday evening. He was born in Biddeford on July 7, 1925, a son of Liniere and Augustine Dubuc Doyon, and graduated from St Charles High School in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He had lived in Waterville since 1970. Rev Doyon was the current resident chaplain a the retirement home. Survivors include: a brother, Lucien Doyon; and a sister, Mrs Rita Lamb, both of Saco; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame Church, Bishop Joseph Gerry will officiate. Burial will follow in St Joseph's Cemetery.
