PRIVATE, Charland Hector (Edgar) #417289. 22nd Bn. Canadian Infantry (Québec Regiment). When he enlisted, Edgar stated being born in 1897 and used Hector as his first name. Severely wounded during the Battle of Courcelette, Edgar was evacuated to 1st South Midland Casualty Clearing Station, then located in Vicquemont, near Amiens, where he died shortly after.
