PRIVATE, Coulombe Arthur. #61435. 13th Bn. Canadian Infantry (Québec Regiment). Died of wounds. Arthur was one of the first to enlist with the 22nd Battalion and sailed overseas to England in May 1915. He could not follow the unit in France, however, being hospitalized. Once healed, he got medical training and, on 21 February 1916, he joined the 13th Battalion in Belgium, in the Ypres Salient. Three months later, on 10 May, he was severely wounded in Armagh Wood, near Mont Sorrel, and he died of his wounds four days later at No. 10 Casualty Clearing Station, then located in Abeele.
